Episode 14: The Power Of Asking Someone How They Are (And Really Meaning It)
Don’t ask people questions if you are not interested in the answer. Don’t underestimate the ability of people to see through fake questions. If you ask people how they are & are genuine about it, the following happens:
️ You have an amazing power! You might be able to help!! (that’s your job!).
The person is more likely to respect you, because you care.
Respect encourages loyalty, which tends to result in people trying harder for you.
You never know when you might need help in return. Just because you’re the boss doesn’t mean you are immune from needing help.
If they are managers themselves – this approach may well be replicated within their own team (the ripple effect).
